The skulls are here!
Of course you know that Halloween is coming, but don’t forget that Mexico has something beyond compare: “El Día De Muertos”.
The 29th of this month, Mexico City will make the first Monumental Skull Parade. Inspiration struck when the last 007 movie, Spectre, was released. One of the opening scenes was filmed in Mexico City, accompanied by a parade much like the one you’ll see on the 29th.
In case you missed it, here’s a clip of the movie:
The parade will begin at the Ángel de la Independencia (Independence Angel), and conclude at the Zócalo, the city’s historical centre. This event will mark a new way to celebrate the already colorful “Día de Muertos”.
You will also find giant puppets, “alebrijes”, and floats.
Check out Mexico.mx’s video:
And if you’re sporty, the parade will also feature a night bike ride to the ofrenda (Dia de Muertos altar) at the Zócalo.
Get ready for this amazing day!
Keep rolling till you find something you love…
