Everything is bigger in Texas.
You might think Texas means football, cowboys, and shopping, but Tool, Texas is a different story. Tool is a small town with a population of 2,242. But what makes this tiny town a great place to be for a weekend? First thing you will find the REAL COWBOYS here, hard working and dedicated people.
It’s a great place to escape the routine and go for a boat ride in the Cedar Creek reservoir, just a few miles off of Tool.
If you get here with friends, wake-boards or water skis, and music, then the rest is up to you!
If you are a car lover, the town of Kemp has the “RG Car Show” where you will find the some of the greatest classic cars, tuned cars, boogie cars, and last but not least a Kart Mower competition!
NO JOKE.
If you want to eat something new, make sure to try the famous crawfish! It comes in real, actual boxes.
You can also bring your own beers or get yourself a few at the show.
Take a ride out of the highway to check out all the farms, full with cattle and horses. They even have the famous Texas Longhorns! The animal, not the football team.
If you fancy a night out, we recommend BnR, a local bar with good beer and – why not – even a few shots!
Tip: Ask for a Miller Lite beer, one of our favorites 🙂
But don’t party too much!
Because if you just have a clear night sky you will find it filled to the horizon with sparkling stars. Hell, you can even see satellites passing through!
And if you would like to see the biggest stadium in the ENTIRE WORLD, then Dallas is only a few hours’ ride away! The AT&T Stadium offers daily tours.
And they are ~worth it~!
So if you want something out of the routine and within a few hours from Dallas don’t forget to have some fun in Tool and its surroundings.
Keep rolling ’til you find something you love…
