There’s nothing than traveling.

And anyone who dares try to tell us the contrary, is just simply and plainly wrong.

This summer, I was working at a summer camp in New Jersey, United States. After finishing my work period, I decided to embark on a journey around the U.S.

In order to be able to work and travel, I had applied for a J1 Visa, which is valid for 90 days with a 30-day grace period for traveling.

However, if you at any moment leave the United States territory, you may be denied entry back into the country. Since I made a quick stop in Mexico during this trip, I was well aware of this danger.

That’s why on the last week of camp, I applied for an ESTA.

It’s very much like a visa, without all the hassle. In my opinion, it’s an absolute dream for tourists and business folk alike!

Basically, you can apply online and have your application granted within  72 hours. After this, the document is valid for  TWO YEARS!

All I needed to do was fill out a form online and have an electronic passport in my possession. So, before I set off on my travels around the U.S., I applied without further hesitation.

After receiving an e-mail confirmation, everything was set and prepared. As I re-entered the United States from Mexico, I showed my passport and there was no trouble at all. I was allowed back into the United States and sent on my way, easy as that!

In case you didn’t know, there are 38 countries that can apply for an ESTA and enter the United States visa-free.

This includes Australia, Belgium, Chile, Denmark, Germany, France, Greece, Italy, Japan, Czech Republic, New Zealand and United Kindgom, amongst many others.

And once it’s been granted, you can stay in the country for up to 90 days!

This is amazing when you consider that it only costs $14, which may be a lot cheaper than losing your flights or paying for an American Visa.

So, if you’re planning on traveling to the United States soon, you might want to visit www.estaform.org to get all the information, tips and hints needed for the application.

It’s a wonderful programme that certainly eliminates all the complications that traveling sometimes entails.

Keep rolling till you find something you love…
