If you’re a snow fan, then the phrase “winter is coming” means anything but gloomy days stuck inside your home. In fact, snow translates directly to amazing, thrilling, white colored fun. Yep, that’s right. WINTER SPORTS!
This is why we compiled a list of the top four skiing / snowboarding resorts all around the world.
Take a look:
1. St. Anton, Austria.
This is where it all began. Also know as the cradle of alpine skiing, this resort is known all over the world. It has amzing slides and slopes filled with the whitest snow you could have ever imagined. St. Anton is one of the best places for practicing winter sports. And it’s surprisingly easy to get to, since you can arrive from any of the following three airports: Innsbruck (only an hour away), Friedrichshafen (1 and a half hours away) and Zurich, reachable from rail in around three hours.
2. Chamonix, France
Careful. This is for EXPERTS ONLY.
If you’re not a professional skier or snowboarder, you might have some trouble getting down the hills. This is amazing for freeriding and freestyling, which makes it ideal for advanced levels.
But don’t worry, skiing isn’t everything here. There’s also tours around the mountains where you’ll feel as if you’re in a NatGeo expedition, an adventure park, theme parks, hikes for winter and summer, and so much more!
3. Mammoth Mountain, USA
The American continent has a lot to offer, from the Patagonia to the very top of Canadian lands. But the Mammoth Mountain has been awarded for its parks and pipes.
The Grenade Games and plenty of the snow X-Games have taken place here, which makes it one of the very tip-top locations for winter sports.
4. Whistler/Blackcomb, Canada
This is one of the places that is most visited during winter season. It has it all, from amazing hills for all styles and levels, great parks and incredible pipes. Only it does get crowded during the high season, so we recommend going when you’re less likely to run into thousands of tourists. Try going on a Sunday instead of a Saturday for a first try, or right before or after big holidays like Easter or Christmas.
So there’s really nothing left to do except grab our jackets and book a flight to the nearest place for some amazing winter fun in the snow!
